Which brake lines/pads?

Getting a few bits ordered up for winter, mainly service items but I'm going to do the brake lines + pads as well.

Which brake lines should I get, race type (2 front lines), or standard T sectioned front lines? Thinking HEL lines would be the ones to go for?

Also what pads would people recommend. Links please!

Me neither but did mine myself no problems. And I got Wezmoto lines off eBay. Bloke is just round the corner from Hel, used to work there I think, and the rubber grommety things come marked Hel. V helpful chap as well. To bleed I had two runny honey placky bottles (got a soft valve in the lid) cable tied to the discs made things a lot easier

SA FRONT SINTERED ROAD BRAKE PADS:

Brembo Sintered Road Pads are ideal for the latest generation of sportsbikes. They offer a high friction coefficient with extra initial bite. Great in both wet or dry weather and excellent for fast road use.

Don't forget you will have to buy two, they come as a set for one caliper

Yes they are expensive, and don't have a lot of meat on them but they last just as long if not longer than normal pads and they are by far the best pads i have used to date with regards to stopping power.

I fitted mine my Brembo's back in June. I had the back wheel of my bike the other day and noticed that there looks like no wear at all on the rear pads And I do use my back break a lot. And as far as braking ability goes they are spot on.

The only difference apart from the performance with the two line system, is that you abandon the middle T junction and both lines connect at the master cylinder. Make sure you put copper washers either side of each banjo on the master cylinder. You should get a longer banjo bolt and all the washers in the kit.

Might seem like a ball ache but do take your fairing off and front fender mate, spill any brake fluid and it will end in tears!

got some on a brand new fender once and it was ruined caused it to crack at the mounts in a matter of mins

just happens ive got a full set of hel braids here for the sp which may be surplus to requirements depending what happens in the next day or two.
2x front brake, 1xrear and 1x clutch all in clear coated silver

and some other stuff. speedo healer etc.

preferred the ebc HH sintered meself - less fade under very hard use and only £18 a set.
got mine from nec last year with a free rear pair so £36 all round.

I was amazed at some brembo pads I got (cheers bvg). Very grippy! I'll be getting another set fo' sho'

Another vote here for Brembo.

As for changing the lines to braided, I managed it all by myself and if I can do it anyone can. The only issue I found running the race set up from the M/C is there is a little nubbin on the cylinder that either needs cut off with an angle grinder or the hose passed over the top of it. I went ovr the top. Might be able to get a pic later.

Good point Pinky. You can just see it in between the two lines on Sebs pic. A bit of metal that protrudes from the base. This can either be left as is or chopped off which makes the routing of the lines a little more tidy.

I agree there is something wrong with the ends that Seb has got fitted that needs them to be facing away from each other as in his photo. if the bends are correct the 2 banjos should "spoon" together nicely
