see i'm not convinced on the braced swing arm... on the grounds that the storm frame is designed to flex.
google honda 'active /tuned flex'
one track trick on the storm (and sv) is to slacken off the centre engine mount to make the frame flex even more, so bracing the chassis / swing arm would balls that design up.

they do look better braced, but im not sure they actually make the bike handle any better tbh.
might help snap the back of the engine off a bit sooner though lol
same as doing the sssa conversion... looks very trick but is it functional???
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Aware of the Flex and the honda using the engine as a stressed member and all that, just wish the stock Swingarm wasn't so wombles ugly!

I've seen better looking MX swingarms than this lump

I will probably get it done as i have the bits sat around but will keep a spare swinger,

plan on doing a few track days next year, not to go mental and push it to the limit or find the absolute limit just to enjoy the bike in safety without fear of other road users and the old bill

With a list like that you should be called Tweety the 2nd

Your bike must be worth entering the Storm of the Month over the pond. So give the bike a wash and polish and get some nice photos up.

Ha you don't really notice what you have done till you write it all down mate

I'm not in the leauge of that guy, didn't he make a loom by him self from scratch? i don't even have a solder lol

Plus he has the SP2 swinger, if i had not give in and got the 954 on i would have, i think it would have fit as the headers don't stick out and are not close to the linkage with the Yoshi setup like they are with the originals

When i've finished the cosmetics, tank / wheels etc i might do mate

With regards to the braced swinger, I noticed absolutely no difference in how the bike handles both on road and track after doing mine, not that I thought I would!

Deffo worth it just for the looks IMO!

Hagon Progressive Springs came today form Marty

This list different springs for the 929 and 954, Fairy sure i can use them tho, any one else know if they shouldn't be used? 929 lists a 115mm air gap and 954 says 100mm air gap, not sure if they are the same springs tho

http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalog/p ... 400-245-00
http://www.hagon-shocks.co.uk/catalog/p ... 400-189-01

Any one on a blade site that might know?

This coming weeks project, get them fitted and get the shock on and dialled in

Good news

looks like i can use the same spring no issues, only thing different spring wise the 954 had slightly stiffer stock springs than the 929

Race Tech quote the same springs for both :)

http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/2/Hon ... de/2000-01
http://racetech.com/ProductSearch/2/Hon ... de/2002-03

Asked the question on the blade forum but got no answer there lol

Good new and bad new

Apparently the Racetech springs come with some special spacers for use with the 954 and Hagon said not to use theirs with the 954 they are sprung different and are longer than the 929's

That aside i have just bought a 19l ltr Tank :) wanted one for ages! mines buggered thanks to poor paint work so this was a good pop up on eBay last night

Also got Rogers Last set of new Moriwaki cams, pick them up after i have finished paying for them and he's back from Oz, he's kindly allowed me to pay in instalments for them

I would have got those used items from the states but i didn't want to be the fall back guy for him if he couldn't shift them, if he had said yeh you can have them on the 26th i would have took them but nice new ones now so

I'll have to shift the fork springs and get some 954 springs should feel like a refreshed bike with the suspension refreshed and the engine work done March / April time
