like this idea, but i'd have trouble fitting a standard brake light, cutting the fairing for the brake light isn't a problem, its that the race fairing.....
Why not just paint numberboards on the standard fairing and hump. Make all the shape up with a low tack decorators tape (I have some here if you need it) then give the area a light key, prime and spray and lacquer and polish. Simples. You could even do it in two parts so you have a white outline around it. Or if you don't fancy spraying it, then use carbon wrap or the real stuff

i like the all in one look, no join between the rear fairing and seat hump, you only have to look at the picture lloydie based his bike on to see what i mean, although in that picture they've still managed to use a normalish seat.

What you want to do is make the seat lock unlock the tail section .
So when you unlock it , it lifts the race rear fairing and the seat as one unit .
That way you could use the standard seat and still have access to the battery and storage . And you could make a bracket to hold the tail light on the rear subframe like spondon did .

Now that is a genius idea. I may look into a way of doing that in the future.

Well about 7am and i couldn't sleep so i decided to fix the hot grips, cut out the section of wire that had melted after slack in cable moved and allowed it to rest against the head, wondered what the burning smell was....

any way cut it out, joined it back up made a heat shield / sleeve for it so it never happens again, happy hands again :)

Off to bed now night all :)

Finally got shot of the PAIR Unit & all unnecessary pipe work. Reduced weight by 1/2 Kg. Injected some oil into each pot & cranked it over manually to check for any odd noises & bath the rings/cylinders. None were observed & the motor action is very smooth & quiet.

I'm surprised that little lot weighed so much 8O Did you put blanking plates on the cam covers or just replace them. And did you block the extra hole in the bottom of the airbox.

Yes all done correctly. I used blanking plates & decided to leave the internals as they have a nice rubber seal. I doctored the internals by reversing the metal strip. As well as the airbox hole there is another pipe that feeds off the vacuum line to the PAIR. This needs to be plugged as well.
