Newbie

Post by rocco-jocco »

Hi guys, my 1st post here after stumbling accross the forum last night., Im new to owning a VTR Firestorm (and its my 1st V twin) and im loving it!!!
It all happened by accident really, i was casually browsing the dreaded Ebay as you do looking for a new toy to add to my ever growing collection of motorcycles.... ( a 79 restored Suzuki X7, a 68 restored Bsa Bantam, a 71 restored Bsa Bantam, and a 85 as new Honda MTX 125, only 851 miles from new) The only requirements was that it had to be local (ive spent/wasted too much of my time travelling to look at a bike for sale only to find its not as the pictures or sellers description!!! Grrrr!), sensibly priced, mint and different, and there it was, a 2001 VTR finished in Repsol colours, 5 miles from me in swindon, advertised @ sensible money, hardly used, seller spending far too much money on it getting it to look like it does now, and then not using it.
So after a couple of texts and phone calls we managed to make a date when we were both free to have a look at it, went and had a look, and it was all good except for a flat battery so i couldnt hear it running ;(.
So, after a couple more texts a deal was struck, if it sounded as good as it looked, id take it away at the weekend.
And here she is, only a couple of crap pics at the moment, ill get a few more if it ever stops raining.

And heres a couple of my other bikes :)

Yes number 9 on the list with extra dumplings

A nice little collection of bikes you have there. The chopper is the best one, that takes me back to my childhood  Actually if it was me I would put the bikes outside and get some workbenches in the there and turn it into a garage. It all looks a bit too sparse.

Welcome to the forum
