Right lads of all electrical knowladge I need your brain power. I think the recent torrential rain has played with my indicators and I wanted to get some advice from you lot before taking the housing apart.
Heres the problem. I move the switch to turn and nothing happens. I have to gently, really gently, push the switch in to get the indicator working. I say gently because any harder would turn the indicator off. When I'm turning left this is the only way the thing works. Turning left its hit and miss but does sometimes work when I hold the switch right.
This only started on Saturday night after the bad weather of the weekend and all 4 lights do work and flash at the correct speed. Im sure its in the switch housing so any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Indicator issues
First thing spray some WD40 in around the button, could be just a bit of water has got in, it should also clear any bits of grob/rust if you give it a good blast.
As for taking it apart be very careful lots of little springs & things that can go biong across the floor ! 30 seconds to take it apart, 2hours trying to find all the bits...
Try the WD first & hope that clears it up.

I done the WD40 and it seems to have sorted it out. I cant say I am surprised as the bike gets left outside in all weathers and she was parked outside work throughout the storms of Friday and Saturday night.

There you go that was easy, give it a squirt now & then or after every time it gets wet & it will keep the water at bay.

Might want to consider getting a m/c cover too keep the worst of the weather out when parked up - esp as we're well into winter
