anyone know if these are moriwaki cams

i started another thread, but as i have been advised how to add images, here is a picture of standard cams


here are some of mine

see how the honda cams have a groove to the left of the lobe, that mine do not

also there's some marks on my cams - 'R2'

any ideas? are they standard cams?
i think they are moriwaki stage 1's

the perfect guy to tell you exactly is roger D, but he's away until feb '13.

i would take a guess they could well be stage 2 cams, hence the r2

One last thing: I just had a look at a pic of the used Yoshimura Stg 1 cams I just sold and located the following marks on them (what I can see on pic):
- R6 (on two of them)
- R3 on one
- R4 on the other

One thing's for sure they are not standard. I wonder what else has been done to your engine.

Only one way to know ..... Get it back together and stick it on a dyno :-)
Stock engine and jetted with race cans you'd be looking at 100-105bhp

you can always try to measure the lift (longest measurement at tip of cam lobe minus the diameter), it should be a good indicator....
- stock cams are just shy of 10mm
- Mori Stg 1 are 10.1 and 10.3mm
- Yosh Stg 1 are 10.7mm

bike has a K and N, moriwaki titanium full system and these cams.
engine is quite old (30,000 miles)
i put it on a dyno before servicing and at the rear wheel it's 107 hp
it has needed 3 shims and i will change plugs/oil. it's running a little rich.

i don't want any more power, i suspect post servicing i'll get 110hp, but i don't need 110hp.
