only got xmas day and new years day of this year, flat rate aswell. lol oh well atleast i got a job at the moment ay :thumbup:

+1 on that. I do 4 days out of seven and as luck would have it I got Monday off :clap: :clap:

if I was in though it would be 8 till 20 to 6 and no " get the vans off the road by lunchtime lads" and down the pub all afternoon as it was up until about 15 years ago.

as far as I can see employers are such gits these days Christmas eve is just a normal day . ( oh unless you are a boss)

Yep am working in the world of push bike
Got Xmas day off and Boxing Day. Back to norm after.

10 years ago would of had loads of time off!

8-4 for me Xmas eve then 3 days off .
If it was a normal early Monday shift I would be working 6-2 .
But as the customers won't be up early on Monday they put my start time later to reflect the customers needs :-( .
This time of year I wish I was still in my old job as a paint shop operator manager as I never worked Xmas eve and had 2 weeks off at crimbo

Finished at 4pm on fri,dont go back til......7th jan, did cost me 7 days of my years holiday though :-( and we have to do it like that as work shuts down!

Talking to a friend at a local cement company and there drivers are working Xmas day and Boxing Day at £130ph for a 14 hour shifts . If I worked there I'd be doing that

Are you sure.. :!: £130ph x 14 = £1820 per day. I'd have some of that too.. :D
Working Xmas eve then on call all the way through to the 2nd Jan. Not that I would have to do anything if I did get a call other than ring up the person who is doing the work. :beer:
