+1 on that. I do 4 days out of seven and as luck would have it I got Monday off
if I was in though it would be 8 till 20 to 6 and no " get the vans off the road by lunchtime lads" and down the pub all afternoon as it was up until about 15 years ago.
as far as I can see employers are such gits these days Christmas eve is just a normal day . ( oh unless you are a boss)
3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the worlds population.

Re: Who's working Xmas eve?
8-4 for me Xmas eve then 3 days off .
If it was a normal early Monday shift I would be working 6-2 .
But as the customers won't be up early on Monday they put my start time later to reflect the customers needs :-( .
This time of year I wish I was still in my old job as a paint shop operator manager as I never worked Xmas eve and had 2 weeks off at crimbo

Are you sure.. £130ph x 14 = £1820 per day. I'd have some of that too..lloydiecbr wrote: there drivers are working Xmas day and Boxing Day at £130ph for a 14 hour shifts .
Working Xmas eve then on call all the way through to the 2nd Jan. Not that I would have to do anything if I did get a call other than ring up the person who is doing the work.
