Hi and welcome to the forum. Have you got a VTR as yet or just looking around? If you go into your profile you can update your location to give folk an idea where you are should you need a hand.

Still welcome, though....

Still, the new rules are going to make it very difficult for instructors, and I think they just might have killed motorcycling this time. When you can just pass your car test then buy a BMW, why run a 125 , then sell it, buy a restricted bike, then sell it, then get something you wanted after four years, three tests? Not sure I'd have bothered, tbh.
With the no modifications for small bikes rule, I think that's done it.

We're the last of a dying breed, (according to the local Casualty, anyway).

I think you could be right there Tony, sadly. Is there still a DAS option when you hit 25?

Yeah, where are the manufacturers in all this? Why aren't they promoting motorcycling as a green alternative? Get someone hooked on a 100mpg 125 and you cut emissions, road space and create a potential big bike buyer. God, even drug dealers give free dope to kids! It's also safer than a push-bike and teaches roadcraft. A no-brainer, that.
