Hi folks,
I'm looking to drop a tooth on my front sprocket, and need to remove a link from my chain.
I have a fairly new tsubaki alpha x ring chain, and can't find anywhere to buy a rivet link from.
If anyone has any info, i'd really appreciate it.
Thanks, Steve.

Re: Tsubaki alpha soft link
Thanks,
Am i to understand from this that a new link doesn't necessarily have to be from the same manufacturer as the original chain ?

Re: Tsubaki alpha soft link
I wouldn't and this site which sells them also advises not to mix links with different chains - found using google and key words tsubaki rivet link

are you sure you need to remove a link?????Steve H wrote:Hi folks,

i went down to a 14 for a while and still used the standard length chain.
with a standard rear and a 15T front you dont need to shorten the chain
have a look at http://www.gearingcommander.com and it will give you the number of links for any sprocket combo
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Re: Tsubaki alpha soft link
That what I was thinking. I wouldn't bother personally. The only advantage would be a tad more adjustment before it reaches the maximum wear marks.are you sure you need to remove a link?????

Been thinking about this today, i don't want to make unnecessary work for myself.
i will try the sprocket on its own first.
Thanks for your input guys !
