Thank you all for making me feel so welcome! I'll try to find a picture of me and my bike and post it here. I just can't find any good ones... It seems I was too busy riding last summer... :)

Image

Picture is from the beginning of last summer on a small ferry. I was with my little brother on The Archipelago Trail (http://www.saaristonrengastie.fi/index.php?page=8). It's his Triumph Speed 4 behind me.

Hello and welcome ... and your Finnish countrymen make excellent
padlocks... I have an ultra impressive Abloy 362 which secures a further
strong chain...best padlock I have ever used or seen ... sad though we
have to use these security measures to deter the thieving pikey scumbags
that infiltrate our English society.and steal goods. well good luck you have kind of
short summers in Finland so make the most of the weather buddy

Hello Saintsman27! Yeah, those Abloy locks are pretty tough aren't they? They are used everywhere in here. Not just padlocks, but pretty much every door in Finland has Abloy locks. It's easier to break the door than trying to attack the lock itself. In fact I have seven keys in my pocket. Five of them are Abloy... the other two are Honda and Mitsubishi :) . When travelling, it always amazes me how flimsy feeling the locks are abroad...

Hi freakdazzer,

It was -20 this morning, beautiful sunshine though... Last year, 16th of March was actually the first day I could ride after the long winter. It was more than +5 degrees then. Spring ir really late here this year...

Well, my bike is not completely put together yet anyway, I have done some maintanence and installing new parts, etc  . I hope the snow will melt away soon.
