Brisk plugs

Post by Kev L »

Anyone fitted and used the Brisk sparkplugs yet? Just wondering whether they are a worthwhile buy.

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I have a set, but want to get mine fuelling properly first, at the moment the bottom end is very strong but over 7500 it's running lean.
I need to play around to work out whether this is mixture/fuel/jets or airbox/intake related.
I'd like to end up with two sets of carbs/airbox combinations to run back to back tests with, one jetted and built to suit the MWR plate type air filter I still haven't got round to sorting properly, and one set with a K+N which I normally run and have set properly.
Every time I add more airflow, naturally it messes up the jetting/carb settings, so having it running lean top end at the moment is not a surprise, but I still haven't got the spare disposable cash to get it on HM Racing's dyno.

Mind you, it's quick enough for road use just using up to 7500.....I'm not stressing about fixing its top end too much.

So I'm going to get everything running right with Iridiums first, then try the brisk ones to see if there's any difference.
You change too many things at once and you never know what part is having what effect.

Nice to just look at for the moment though, odd to not see a side/top electrode arm......

Did you remember to use the discount code I posted?

You not given up on that MWR filter yet then tony?

Did you ever get it on the bike and running onthe road, or was it miles out?

Made it run horribly, nothing at all low down then like turning on a switch at 7000. Interesting, but not nice at all.
So it'll need dyno time to set up.
Not yet given up, it can be done, but I have too many unfinished projects atm. I'd like to get a few finished before I start something else.

Talking about unfinished projects, I would still like to make up some sort of variable resistance control in the form of a turnable knob and led ohms reading. I can't work out how to do it for the life of me. I have looked through sites and forums regarding variable resisters and electronics and it's a nightmare. Too many different types, so can't work out which is the right one. Then there is the problem of how to incorporate an LED reading. I just keep going around in circles and my brain gets lost. A bit like algebra. :(

I prefer Denso plugs, but overall, there are good experiences with Brisk plugs in bikes. VTR as well, works as NGK does.
