Just a quick question for those in the know, is the rear shock serviceable and if so would a service and a hyperpro spring a better idea than say a hagon or nitron. Thanks in advance oh wise ones. Den.

the standard isn't serviceable .
A nitron shock with a linear spring suited to your weight would be best .

Could always go Ohlins there were quite a few on eBay last I checked and they don't sell for as much as they used to

Good choice, I have had one for the last2 yrs. is much better than stock, and also better than the base WP shock I had before

As I have looked about the shock services, it is actually possible - but it is "hack". So the workshop (or you) need to drill holes etc to change the internals of the shock.

However it is possible to change the shock spring. I am doing this at the moment (well, one shock specialist is doing this for me) as the shock itself was not broken, but the spring just was too hard.

I will report about the quality after the snow has melted... 2 months or so...

if the money is not an issue, nitron, hagon or öhlins it is.
