Why would you want to? Never seen the need for ABS on a bike, but that's just my humble opinion of course. :D
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

I miss my abs and if it was an easy mod, I'd do it on the 'T' without hesitation. I'd have to be able to turn it off though otherwise I wouldn't be interested.

No idea if you can do it on the storm though, sorry.

I think it would be a PITA to fit and get it working safely. The early ones fitted to BMWs and the like were a nightmare and you were prob better off without it. Times have changed and things moved on and for road use I can see the advantage, unless you start riding to the bikes limits and use it all the time (got a mate who started doing this and got through a front tyre in 800 miles!) then it's just a warning system and no more use than another light on the dash.

Ernie,
No, I've not done an ABS conversion, but I was wondering if the Honda Varedero system would work? Then I happened to see this:-
Have a look at Tony.Mon's post, 2nd up from the bottom in this link:- http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 31&t=22118

You would need to find out if the brake calipers would fit the Storm.

What???

I can think of a few occasions where had the road been damp and not dry when I've had to emergency break the front would have locked up and skidded down the road.

Test ride a VFR or Blade with ABS and then reevaluate your humble opinion.

I only say that because I have never had to lock the front wheel in order to get out of trouble. Maybe I just ride according to the conditions and plan ahead more? :Beer Popcorn:

No matter how much planning you can't always acount for the unpredictable actions of other road users,

Other week I was in a 20 zone, doing 20 down the road I was following a friend with a fair distance between the two of us, it's daylight, I'm on a bright coloured bike with bright gear on and a bright helmet and my headlight on.

I see a car approach at a side road wanting to turn right. The car stops for my mate then just as I'm coming across her way this woman just pulls out across me.

lucky it was a rare dry day at the time because the back was up lofting in the air I had the anchors on that hard. I felt sick for hours after that I just couldn't belive that she had either not seen me or so badly misjudged the gap.

I ride the bike every single day, no matter how much you take into consideration every eventuality some retarded road user will always amaze you with the actions.

You really should give it a go before passing judgement on it Stratman. It's kind of like me saying, there's no point having a threesome with two hot chicks as I only have one c0ck!!

I don't think ABS is as affective on bikes as it is cars. I guess every little helps, but I think having more control over the amount of pressure between the rear and front brake and having good tyres is just as effective. Saying that I have had to use some heavy handed braking at times where I have almost lost it and saved myself by briefly releasing some pressure and reapplying the brakes.

Cadence braking. I use the rear a lot too. Doesn't screw up the geometry as much going into the bend. Oh, and I have tried the threesome thing in the past. A bit like braking, slippery when wet......
