New (too me) firestorm

Post by joe kozzi »

Picked this up yesterday 21k, after a 170 mile ride home in the freezing cold  absolutely love it! feels over geared though? smaller front sprocket do the trick? and a bit low at the back, got a spacer that my old man used on his so gunna put that on. Apart the from clutch snatching its perfect.. Pretty tidy for the price

Looks okay - It has had a respray at sometime as non-standard decals, and missing V2 sticker on tail. Check on the subframe what the original colour code was.

Well spotted! It used to be red, (hpi'd it before i got it) but the previous owner wanted black so had it sprayed in 1999, no signs of accident damaged an is a good job so not too fussed :plainsmile

Since you're sensible and went for the fastest colour, have some advice. Stay away from eBay, the modifications you can do to this bike are tempting and endless :(

And the price becomes not so nice if you get addicted to it, isnt that right Playerone ?

Ive just been spending the last hour trawling ebay looking for 'things'
Can see this getting expensive. I think all i need is manual cct's and a smaller front sprocket.. an tinted headlight cover.. and some shortie levers

I think it's just a problem on general bikes of the same era as they have unfinned R/R's and can't cool down quick enough so they burn out
