SP oil cooler

Post by andre5030 »

Was just wondering, is it possible to fit an SP oil cooler to the storm as a straight swap? If so would it be better than the stork one?

Lloyd has just fitted one. http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 80#p250212

You shouldn't require a larger oil cooler unless you have a modded engine that is running much hotter than normal. Ie an advanced ignition which would cause hotter running temps or hi comp pistons. Engines are deassigned to run at an optimum temperature for that particular engine and making them run hotter or cooler unnecessarily can cause damage in the long run.

2x oem storm coolers going on mine, one on top of the other, teed together.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

I'm not familiar with this engineering term:

"deassigned"

You want to explain this one Carl?

And there was me thinking I done quite well with my spelling considering it was 3.30am and I had one eye open. maybe engineered would have been a better word. Err hold on, weren't the designers there before the engineers or is it the other way around  Mmm. Or maybe they had desineers

Eagle eyed to spot that one, no need to crow, though.
Flamingo and buy a dictionary...

(I'm just egging him on).
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
