New storm
Hi im Stevie from Glasgow I bought my storm last month after 13 years away from bikes I used to be a motorcycle driving instructor and an observer for the IAM so hopefully just need to blow away the codwebs and the storm should do the trick. Its silver in colour incase you havn't guessed that with blue flame exhausts it still has the original cct with 31k on the clock so hopefully someone on here can point me in the right direction of how best to tackle this. Is there any stormtroopers near the Glasgow area.

Some inks for you regarding the CCT issue.
You can either go for the stop mod http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 31&t=19416
Which is the Honda auto CCT's that are converted to a fail safe. So when it does fail, it don't send the valves crashing.
Or
You go for the full manual conversion, your options are here

As long as you are fairly mechanically minded and know one end of a spanner from the other it's a reasonably easy thing to fix. It's harder to understand than do the work. Any questions, just ask away.![]()

Welcome to the club mate. Do the Cod build webs up there then?
There are quite a few guys based North of the border, and there was talk of a ride out to Scotland this year.

also check to see if your reg/rec is the later finned type

Re: New storm
Hi and welcome to the Forum. Can't think of any one that does'nt like riding in Scotland . Even Lock Lomond's good on a bike. Aim to go around the top this May if the weather ever picks up. Hope you enjoy the Storm but do the R/R and cct's and then you're pritty reliable.
