shop around first mate - dont let the £ burn a hole in your pocket.... you know what its like... as soon as you buy something you see a dozen better bikes for less!!!

always happens to me! :Ball Kick:

why dont you just crouton it and get yourself a nice sp

a fistfull of dollars....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-VTR1000 ... 3a7f7b4847

a few dollars more

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikes ... GN-7586274

there is also a totally mint sp1 for sale on fb with all the bling for 4500
know what your saying but just want somthing more than the SP2 ive gone off them over the last few years and i hate the stars and stripes, the Castrol yeh!! but never a Laguna secca rep

And the SPs are heavy bikes nearly 40kg dry weight heaver than the K5 that

Re the can i actually like that can :shh: prefer it to after market ones

cant go getting one till i sold my storm in bits yet anyway only asked the bank for 3, wish i had asked for more now...

To be honest i don't want any extras and just plan to ride it, i wont need any more power from it and the brakes should be well upto the job and just as good if not better than the RR3 brakes,

and im not going to join a gixxer forum and get hooked on modifying things it will then turn into another wallet muncher lol

well.... if you dont plan on modding a gixxer have you considered leasing one>????

i looked into this a while ago after seeing it on suzuki's website. its cheaper than a loan an you get a new bike every 3 years with no loss, or you can pay the extra and keep it :)

have a look if theyre still doing it!

think it was this... http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/motorcycles/ ... riderplan/

But the bike looks nice.

Shame it's at dealer prices. Keep your eyes out for a private one, whichever you go for. Someone somewhere will be desperate to sell one, and you will pick up a bargain.

Just look at dealer prices for the CBR 2006-2007 (and even the 2004-5 version) and you will see loads of them around £5k - £6k.

Now look at the one I bought, totally MINT, loads of extras, low mileage (10k) and only £4500.

If you don't rush into it, you will save a lot of money, at least enough to replace the red leathers you bought :D
Stll not made my mind up yet, might get an RR6 in the red and black it would look good with the leathers lol

ive seen private prices very cheap just prefer dealers unless its some one i personally know

I have always found dealers to be a complete rip off. You pay so much extra for the 'warranty' that you may as well wipe your butt with if something goes wrong.

As for mods, I mean the exhaust, double bubble, frame protectors etc, which are all worth having. If you dont like them, you can take off and sell and make some money back.

Once I changed the sump pan, I kept it coated in acf-50, and the 2 years after it was changed, it was still good.

Spot on mate.

This is by far the greatest site of all a credit to the owner and it's users

Hey fellow Boltonion

Ive read pro and cons on both bikes one of the main ones on the gixxer being plastics quality feeling very cheap and flimsy as though you could literally tear the bike down with your hands, tho im sure if i got hand fisted with any blade i could tear it to bits :eh:

just wanting the weather to get better so i can gfo get a proper lok its been ages since ive been in a show room, trying to find a dealers that has both bikes in so i can look side by side is hard work

and also because due to the cc of the featured bike, the site isn't populated by Noobs With Bikes

doing my head in over there atm, bloody scooters and ybr125's on L's.

had one lad come on a ride with us the other week - been riding on Ls for 2 mth on a ybr.... first bend we came to he was in the gutter then on the other side of the road.... at the c&f (crouton nose how he made it there in one piece!) i tried to politely explain countersteering and how he should maybe try to tighten it up a bit on the bends... his answer - " ano, its fkin wierd innit, you turn one way and it goes the other... i think ill take it in"
he genuinely thought there was something wrong with his bike!
as his bike was leaning, he was trying to sit more upright, thus making the bike lean further.... :Ball Kick:

so apart from spending 90% of a ride waiting, it's the constant worry that theyre going to bin in a bad way.
and all the noob questions.

much prefer the more mature clientelle here - regardless how purile some of the comments are!

Clearly you haven't heard of me then

It's genuinely a brilliant forum this one though. There does seem to be a lot of comradery between everyone regardless of location, bike colour (arguably. Some times more than others), age and everything. I may be the youngest member around for example but I don't get treated all that differently to some of the more ahh.. 'experienced' members like Al

This site should be a template for others the way I see it.

no mate, seriously, you havent seen anything like it.

i clearly remember when we were all on 50s 125s and 250s etc and even then the standard of riding was worlds apart.
you'd think theyve never ridden a pushbike. absolutely zero roadcraft.
]
the scary thing is, by summer they will all be riding 'little 600s' capable of 150+
why the crouton dont they go buy a 250 instead of a restricted 600? its beyond me.

there have been shitloads of binnages lately - the other week there were 4 on on day!!!
i hate to say it but this year someone is going to die.
how someone hasnt been seriously hurt yet is a fkin miracle tbh.

and theyve all got this thing about IAM. as soon as they pass their mod2 they want to do IAM.
may be just me but personally i think they should get some basic skills first!

/endofrant.
