Yeh why not. You might just end up killing two birds with one stone. Stick coils are a good upgrade anyway and it just might resolve your issue if the fault lies with the coils on the bike now.Make sure they are from a 600 and not 1000 as the 6's fit better. The 1000's are a bit longer

Previous to the Olivers mt ride out yesterday I emptied half a bottle of carb cleaner into the tank and it seems to have sorted my issue, it did the stutter thing only a couple of times in 7hrs riding and it was major bumpy on some of my unclasified roads on my route , could it be a sticking float in the carbs?????
gona stick some more cleaner in and hope it cures it completely.

What sort of cleaner have you used. I would not have thought the float would stick unless it was severely gummed up. And I mean severely. If it was sticking then it would more than likely flood the engine. If anything is going to get blocked inside the carbs it would be the jets.

Maybe you had a blockage in one of the fuel lines. But this would cause the bike to stutter and then stall from lack of fuel. Rather than putting more stuff in the tank, why not remove the carbs strip them down and give them a thorough clean with some carb spray. You can get in all the nooks and crannies then and check things out visually. It would also be worth pulling the carb vent lines out from between the two carbs on brackets on the side of the carbs. This was more of a problem on the early models where the hole in the bracket was too small and would constrict the hoses. The effect would be that under heavy braking it would cause a rush of fuel to flood the front carb which could make the bike stutter and stall. But this would be a problem mostly under heavy emergency stop style braking.
