Oil Leak

Post by Wolves storm »

Started the bike today, it started then cut out, had a look round the bike and noticed fresh oil on the gear changer, tried to start the bike again and it started straight away and ticked over normally, no oil light on either, not liking the oil thought, back to the shop tomorrow, any ideas anyone? :)

Output shaft seal behind the front sprocket?

What's the clutch fluid level like as if the seal in the slave cylinder has gone that could leak fluid in that area.

Hi Wicky
The clutch fluid looks a little low, saying that it could be clutch fluid as its a really light brown colour, looks to light to be engine oil?

Take off the sprocket cover and take a closer gander.

Quite possibly one of the half moon gasket bits on a cam cover.
Pop tank off and have a look.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
