Wouldn't have anything to do with your new filler cap would it?

Taken old filler cap off and still dripping out, don't think the warm weather would make it drip out so fast

Does the new filler cap have some kind of vent hole on it. It should have a pin hole somewhere.

There should be a breather hose that exits near the front of the bike by the belly pan - otherwise fuel will deposit itself on the top of the engine :eek2

It's the smaller hose that is the breather not the bigger one (page 2-4 in manual). I would leave the smaller hose disconnect for now it wont do any harm Maybe check the hose over for any blockages. IIRC on the standard fuel cap there is like a rubber nodule type thing with a hole in it on the outer circumference where the mounting bolts are.
