The forks are dropped 35mm through the yokes on mine and it's still a bit too happy to get the front end up
I should really get a decent rear shock to finish the setup off.

Actually, the SP-1 forks are among (if not the) the longest of the USDs, the 929 and 954 units are shorter than the OEM VTR units.....
Micky, if that's the case on the length of the SP1 forks, then I stand corrected

Chris.
I have a list somewhere of the various fork lengths, but one the reasons the SP1 forks are so well suited (SP2 are a bit shorter due to longer top-out spring) is precisely doe to their length. IIIRC, they are 755mm long. Granted, the VTR forks are longer, but they also stick out quite a bit over the upper triple (serve to mount the clip-ons).

Personally i think the 929 954 look best fitted as it drops the front and brings up the rear

with the 6mm shock spacer it turns it from a flat neutral riding position to a much more front end biased sports bike type ride

Bike felt so much better with the extra weight transfer towards the front
