Guys I've just got back from picking my storm up and I have an issue... The bike is gutless! It struggles to get over a ton and it just doesent feel right?! It sounds awesome and cruises perfect! But when I give it a fiat full it feels like it has a restrictor on it?! :-( Ive spoken to the garage where I got it from and I've got to take it bk on Saturday so he can see if it's been restricted. Could it be anything else apart from a restrictor that's making it gutless?? Btw I have a 99 plate with 30k and it's mint to look at with high level scorpion cans

If it's not got a restrictor kit fitted then look to carb diaphragm, as found on a similar thread posted today.

You could possibly have a timing issue. Have you managed to get the bike past 7000 revs. If the timing is 180 degrees out then the bike would still run but would struggle. http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 80+degrees

Or there maybe a fuel or electrical problem.

It revs freely past 7k just feels like it's holding back, even thou it's not running 100% I still had a grin from ear to ear just from the noise lol, years back I had an sv650 and that felt more powerfull than this did on the ride back

Just hope they sort it out coz I love the way it looks and sounds

Thanks for the advice guys! It really helped! Turned out to be a tiny split in the diaphragm on the rear carb, as was mentioned in a previous post, anyways the fault has been fixed and daz is a happy chappy
