I used sealer and locktite just to be sure, I've also put a stripe across the nut onto the main bolt and body of the cct with my tyer pen so I can keep an eye on it.

Carl...it started first push and it doesn't screech or rattle either...thanks for your advice and patience throughout the day, without your help I'd still be sat scratching my head.

Phew... Your welcome. I was waiting nervously for good news. Well done, a little time and little patience It's a funny feeling that first push of the button. I like the idea of marking the bolt too. Good tip.

Yeah not bad for a one handed bandit eh...it might of taken me twice/three times as long as anyone else but I got there in the end...that first push of the starter button is nerve racking but when it fires and runs good the relief is also good..thanks again m8

AL I don't drink but I did have a cold Dr pepper while I listened to it tick over....this sounds odd but the feeling of accomplishment was fantastic.

Well done Tattoo, yeah that first push of the start button can be nerve racking, even when you are sure (double checked etc and turned it over a good few times by hand first)) you've done everything right.

It doesn't matter how long the job takes, the main thing is to get it right first time. That in itself will make the job a lot quicker

marty i can't thank carlos enough..his advice was great and he has the patience of a saint but then i suppose he's had too with your bikes and my asking the same question 5/6 times....hows the spondon framed bike coming along....

SLOWLY..........
i need to find the money to get it powder coated, once thats done we can start bolting things back together. i'm sure i'm missing bits and bobs, i know i'll need a battery, front brake lines, new bar risers, some fairing. and a few other bits and bobs. like mirrors....
