Replacement Regulator/Rectifier

Post by Tekram La »

Looking to replace my standard fit R/R, Is it still the case where the Yamaha R1/R6 is a better option than an upgraded finned version Genuine Honda part?

Thanks

The R1/R6 ones are rock solid. http://vtr1000f.wickidnet.com/ better still if you can afford a MOSFET one were the regulator half is seperate from the regulator half. They have two separate plug connections

Cheers Wicky, certainly the business but come at a cost especially when you add shipping. Will have a further look see if I can find any second/hand ones closer to home.
Got a wish list for a few mod's but unfortunately not the budget to match it :(

Thanks for that mate, I had just read that link before posting was checking to see if it was still a good option. If cash was flowing would go for the Mosfet which seem to being widely used by Yamaha.
