Need a fuel tap or fuel tap diaphragm - can you help?

Post by Pantaloonie »

It's a nice sunny day, time to do all those little jobs I've been putting off, including replacing the torn diaphragm in my fuel tap which was making every journey an exciting trip into the unknown... Strange power losses, dropping to one cylinder, stench of fuel when parked, you know the story.
Anyhoo, I've got it all apart, and it is indeed knackered. And predictably for me, I've managed to order the wrong part. It's way too small.. Bollox.
I have a trip planned for next monday, so I need to get the correct part asap. Does anyone have one they can sell me, or point me to somewhere I can order one and get it quickly? Either the diaphragm or the whole fuel tap?
The usual online sellers have them but are quoting long delivery times... Help!!

i promised someone my old 16L tap but cant find it anywhere so sent some diaphragms instead.

pm your addy and i'll post one or 2 out to u.

theyre just flat viton diaphragms but work ok. just fit the 2 halves together and trim off the excess.
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Thanks for the offer Benny, but I ended up ordering the parts from the local Honda dealer, as they'll have it in by tomorrow afternoon.
Got a lot of other little jobs done on the bike today, hope it's sunny tommorow too!
