I did, lol I hate cleaning bikes.... I do it but am not the most thorough..... if my roommate's kid weren't so lazy, I would pay him to wash it......

as for the front, don't think you'll find one much lighter (carbon fender, Magnesium wheel, titanium axle, all titanium bolts, monoblock calipers, all aluminum triple clamps and stem; also,the ZX's KYB forks, at teh time, were the lightest USDs on the market, lighter than OHlins R&Ts,, .....). It works nicely too, tough I will more riding time to give a rel evaluation. Brakes are nice and strong anyhow........

Rear Master looks good, even if its at quite the angle. Found a nice one that is 13mm close to the VTR's 14mm, a bit pricey though....

I replaced the speedo cluster on the bike today. Had been running an SP2 unit for the past two years but never had a working tach. Now that I have the OEM speedo and the SP unit both hooked up with hookups for the wiring harness, it's a fairly simple procedure to swap them. I will (eventually) check the wiring connections on the SP unit to see where the problem is. Of course, as my bike is a 99 (with the analog temp gauge), I also had to replace the temperature sending unit (bought an aftermatket one on eBay). Now that I have a working tach, I decided to re-install the HRC ignition box too. So, everything is coming together nicely for summer. AS for my stock speedo, I installed a Skur carbon fibre cover on it, and replaced the small screws holding the face plate on with aluminum units. I also removed that big Allen head screw in the front (serves no purpose from what I can see) with a black button head aluminum screw (looks nicer, and is lighter too). A gram here, a gram there.... it all adds up.....

My next project will be to set-up the spare set of carbs I have with the HRC jet kit and then see which set-up I want to run it with (open airbox, the box I modded last year, or the stock box I am now running). Decisions, decisions,..... such is the life of an OCMD sufferer........

Well, one day shy of month wait later, I finally got the steering damper clamp I had ordered on eBay from one of our entrepreneur friends in China.... So, I finally got to mount up the Ohlins this PM. That's another OCMD task ticked off.....

Having put over 1000 km on the bike without a damper, I can't say I ever really missed it. However, as I have it, it's paid for, may as well install it......

You've been busy by the sounds of it. With the SP revs, was it that the gauge was physically not working or just that the scale did not match what the bike is actually doing. I'm planning CBR 1000 clocks. Just gathering all the bits together to do the job. Weather must be starting to thaw ought over there, test riding days coming up

With the SP console, I was simply not getting anything (no signal I would think, gauge was blank). This was my second SP console and both were said to be working when I bought them so I cna only assume one of two things: bad connection when I mated up the wires or somehwo the signal sent by the VTR is not compatible with the SP gauge. I will get around to diagnosing it at some point (may fit the SP cluster to the Graves aluminum fairing sty I have (and need to modify)).
