anyone used bike engine flush before?
Re: anyone used bike engine flush before?
engine flush is supposed to be used in place of your normal oil, all it is is very thin oil which pics up all the sh1t that the thicker stuff leaves behind, like cycle oil used for cleaning out bike hubs, the problem is is that it is so thin it has next to no contractive strength ( squash ability ), so running the engine NOT under load is just about OK but run it under load (using the bike) you risk friking up ALL your bearings, cheaper iol is the better way

I use engine flush at work but mainly on diesels that have either poor service history or a problem that might justify its use like a failed emissions test where it can make a difference. But being as the engine is out it wouldn't work anyway as you need to run the engine for about 10 mins on a fast idle and if the oil looks clean I wouldn't bother chances are it doesn't need it anyway put the money saved towards a good quality oil that will prove far more beneficial.
