I think you should still go even if you can't go until Saturday. Oh yeah nearly forgot bring the suspension link for me as well
Problem is i could be at work till two or three in the morning then i've got the ride home and have some food then get to bed,

no way i could have that little sleep get up get showered get geared up and get the bike out ready for the 9am start in yorkshire i don't do well on little sleep i would be a liability on the road

I can't get to squires until about 2-30pm on Saturday so not going on the dales ride. If you wanted to meet there could still go out for a few hours on Saturday. still gives enough time to get some decent miles,

Went through that other week it's was a nightmare so much loose hot sticky tarmac, took ages to get it off the fairing and was at one of the stop signs for about 10 mins easy and then had to follow this big truck at 10mph through some slow men working area went on for a bloody distance bike was ready for a melt down!

I may well be bringing my mad sister and her significant other as they are good for a laugh- remember the vibrating rock rings at the first Vic day?

Hope that's ok....

I have just been up there today and did part of the route. Got a video of it all.

Im uploading an edited section of the best bit (Settle - Hawes) now so that anyone that is not 100% can see the treats in store :D

Ok here's a video of one of the best bits of the route for next weekend. Think of it as a trailer :D Again no engine sound, because too much wind noise, but mic ordered for next week :)

It's a pretty long video, but I have skipped past most of the slow bits either with traffic or 30s and 40s.

The best bit is between 4:30 and 25:00. My favourite road in this country between 15:30 and end. It's pretty much uncut other than stopping to chat at Ribblehead Viaduct, and shows how good that section (approx. 20 miles) of road is. No villages, no slow bits, just amazing roads. Watch it in 720 if you're going to watch.

If you have seen the bit above about the hidden dip jump, watch out for it at 23:35. Hard to tell from the video, but if you freeze frame the bike jumps about 4 inch. Very scary if you're not expecting it.

Good video  Really looking forward to this weekend, not so much the motorway trip up there but hey. The good comes with the bad. Will see you all Saturday morning unless I end up making it up Friday night but I am not sure yet.

Has anyone got any reliable weather info for this weekend? I have seen several reports but the outlook may not be looking great

Very good point. Having the word " storm" in the title is always a give away  I'm going out tomorrow to get a waterproof jacket as I have some trousers somewhere

Do have a jacket but it does not fit over my bike jacket which is a shame because its a fantastic jacket.
