Hi to all :wave:

My Names Justin im from sunny East Sussex

Ive been into bikes since my first bike a fizzy i have owned many bikes over the years

Nsr 125 miss the two stroke smell
Gsxr 400 jap import my first bigish bike
Gsxr 600
KLR 250
Tenere 660
Cbr1000

Finally

My VTR1000 Firestorm 2000 plate with 32000 on in shiny silver but i heard the orange ones are faster :D

Its in fair condition but is slowly being brought back to life

Changes done due to condition

HTC pipes, Front Fender, Double Bubble screen, full service oc, Maxxis supersports all round, Rear hugger, Luguage / grab rail for the mrs, Seat cowl, Lower full fairing

Things i want to do next

Blast and polish/paint wheels
Polish swing arm and frame
Engine side covers need repair as the bike has been down the road the wrong way at some point
Engine rebuild and clean up
Rear shock rebuild
Tank respray due to small dent
Led clear rear light
Front indicators change to match rear been changed
Replace / change upper fairing
Fork rebuild / respray
New front discs and rear slightly warped
Respray sub frame battery acid at some point

So hopefully in 6 years time it will be of good nick but il never get anything back and dont want that i just love this vtr my most favourite bike ive owned

At some point il be after a zxr6 / 7 for my track days gonna be buisy :?

Agreed this is priority job 1 & 2 above all else. It is the bikes Achilles heel & will cause a lot of unnecessary misery. Welcome to the forum lots of solid info here :thumbup:

Well you have a full list of things to do there. God luck with that. What pars of East Sussex are you from. Love the roads around there.

Hi and welcome. Sounds like you've got your work cut out. Orange is only a subsidiary of the Fast Red Club, not sure where Silver comes. :lol:

Welcome - originally from west/east Sussex borders and occasionally ventured East :wink: enjoy the bike it's a hoot and I agree, best all round bike I know :thumbup:

Alb - I was weaned on Harveys from Lewes, still fave pint or ten of all time. :beer: and I guess you like your ales - maybe a Storm beer festival somewhere :D
