Post by 8541Hawk »

Not really new but popped in for a bit before then disappeared again.....

Well the SuperHawk forum has pissed me off again..... sucks when you have issues with a mod.....

So looks like you guys will have to put up with me for a while.....

Would you guys like a copy of the carb set up thread I wrote plus the new in for for the Dr. Honda\ HPower| Moriwaki stacks.

That turned out to be a dead end.

What I was up to was modifying the slide cut out. It works well when it was cold and damp out but as soon as the weather changed it went to crap.

Now what I was looking at is how the bike goes rich in the low-mids with the Al stacks. What I now think is happening (after what the slides showed) is it is a airflow stall issue.
Which leads to the next idea: If it is airflow stall, the way to go would be to make the airbox larger. So the next step, when I have time and extra $$ is pick up another airbox and remove the breather bottle and carb slide filters (yes still run the stuff but in a different configuration kind of like mikstr did if I remember correctly) and see what happens.

Not really "my" set up more HRCs I just kind of figured out what they were up to out of necessity, as you need to know what they were up to in order to tune it.
