See you learn stuff.....didn't realize you guys might not know that term..... then again even after being called it in an attempted insult I never realized it was mainly used here....

Black Irish

Black Irish is an ambiguous term sometimes used (outside Ireland) as a reference to a dark-haired phenotype appearing in people of Irish origin. Opinions vary in regard to what is perceived as the usual physical characteristics of the so-called Black Irish: e.g., dark hair, brown eyes and medium skin tone; or dark hair, blue or green eyes and fair skin tone.[33] Unbeknownst to some who have used this term at one time or another, dark hair in people of Irish descent is common, although darker skin complexions appear less frequently.[34] The physical traits of the so called 'Black Irish' are sometimes thought to have been the result of an Iberian admixture originating with survivors of the Spanish Armada,[35] despite research discrediting such claims.[36]

Wow :confused what the hell did i miss while i've been out in the garden and away at work??? just seen this now

Whatever's gone down don't worry about it, often what i want to come across in a post does not come across as clearly as it would in spoken word and when i've read things i've typed back over i've thought sh1t somebody might misinterpret that, i sometimes have the same problem when i reply to texts when i'm busy

i don't think any of us here are actual racists i enjoy a joke and a bit of bravado but i certainly don't dislike people automatically because of their race or religion

Other day i went out of my way to avoid a post office run by some asians and went six miles to another branch, not because i don't like asians i just don't like those particular ones as they are rude as wombles to me whenever i've been in,

i go out of my way to help Raja in work hes a funny guy and very likable but wherever i go and whatever i do i try to avoid people that are going to cause me some anger with their rudeness or attitude

People its very much okay to rip on tho are the Irish, the Welsh sheep shaggers, the Biscuit munching b8stard from Newcastle, anyone and anything from Wigan, and the Southern Softies on here, air on the side of caution with the Scotch mind Virt got his hands slapped other week :Ball Kick:

Erm hawk mate scrap that better take Irish off that list lol

i've just been through the unread posts and seen that irish jokes are not allowed anymore

Are we still allowed other regional jokes? or will they not be taken as just a joke and light humor?

From what I can understand, it's all good as long as you can get in an insult to EVERYONE in the same go??

Sounds ok to me, but the jokes will get longer!

At the end of the day this all stems from the posting of a joke, it would seem that one person didn't find it funny & took offence to it. My view on that is simple, if you don't like the look of a post don't bloody read it...Simples...

Get a life & get on with it, events in the last month or so have proved to me personally that life is too short to be getting worked up over silly things.
So I've busted me arm & smashed me bike up, had agro with the insurance fraudsters & numerous visits to the hospital, another one today BTW, but I'm still here & still walking...it could have been much, much worse!

Hawk Dude I don't believe that you needed to make an apology, but you have & that shows that you are a good person, well done Sir.

Just don't do it again & drop & give me 20...

nothing of great importance gents.
read thru the jokes section and it will become clear, nothing more than a reaction to a joke, which after all was just a light hearted joke, then there was a reaction to the jokes reaction.....blah blah blah!!!!

Can I say sorry, too?

I'm sure I'll think of something offensive later, but I thought I'd get in early.

Pre-emptive strike.

(Nothing against strikers, though, of course).
