Hi all.been busy lately.went to the isle of man tt on my zx12r.had a terrific time.while i was there i met a french bloke on a firestorm who had fitted a single sv650 rad out the front and assured me theres no messing with pipes as it bolts straight on with only a little fuss.interesting.anyone tried this?
I fitted the hugger and exhausts tonight.this is going to be a loud wombles....the cans are devils and are extremelyshort???? Now,a mate of minehas sourced 08 r1 race fairings.i have to move quick if iwant them.but my question to you storm kids is, has anyone tried r1 fairings?

To answer my own question....it seems r1 fairings can be made to fit with a little messing.however the front subframe is obviously different so I'm going to have to get a secondhand r1 front subframe and modify it somehow to fit the storm headstock.i can always cut the storm frame and weld it to the r1.....

It's an interesting idea mate but an awful lot of work. Still that's never put you off before so good luck with it.

Thanks for the positivety guys! Thats really cool.im actually quite pleased as to how its coming together considering i recieved the bike in boxes.i welded up some brackets to stabilise the radiators today as the standard ones are now too short as i had to move the rads back a touch for the fireblade forks.
As soon as my credit card clears (does it ever.....?) Im going to have to bite the bullet and buy a dash.the one im looking at is an acewell race dash.expensive yes but worth it for the functions.also ill need a battery,i dont see the point of buying a race battery to save weight as they are finicky and its a 1000cc twin?
The r1 fairing allows me to keep the side radiators as its very wide although i wont be putting her clothes on for a while yet
