new pics
taken this morning, with new carbon frame protectors (tie-wraps you see will be gone tomorrow, just on there while the silicone sets), as well as the rear brake MC reservoir extension, new Firestorm stickers, custom rear preload adjuster bracket, and re-installed hi-mounts with powdercoated brackets. Can't see it changing much aesthetically from here in in as I pretty have it where I want it.......

HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!
Re: new pics
First things foirst, a very public and heart-felt thanks to Martin for his help in getting the lovely frame protectors to me....
no lower.... I like the uncluttered look like this (have a carbon protector over the oil filter to prevent puncture by rocks,....). having the bottom end exposed to the air seems to help with cooling too......

Re: new pics
Wow that's looking amazing mik well done

Re: new pics
stops very, very well (though my previous set-up, consisting of F4i calipers, was also very, very good). Truth be told, it does absolutely everything very, very well.....

They are not as nice as his old hangers.loving the can hangers, where are they from?

Looking good Mik, you done a good job with those frame covers. Did you have to trim it down around your crash protector. Is the preload adjuster bracket carbon as well.
I think I might be getting a bit of a carbon fetish, I was looking through all the Ducati carbon bits on ebay yesterday, they have some nice tail tidy's. And there's all sorts of little bits and pieces like reservoir brackets and little carbon tank/fairing protectors and stuff.

Re: new pics
The hangers are by Jardine and come with their hi-mount slip-ons; I ordered them separate adn thankfully they fit my Akrapovics.
As for the remote preload adjuster bracket, it is indeed carbon. I had picked up a few pieces of teh stuff some time ago and decided to give it a go. With the rear brake MC reservoir not longer there, I was able to move the adjuster in its spot. Out of the way, and close to center of mass.....
For the protectors, I cut about 2.5 inches off where the sliders are.....

Very nice Mik
All you need now is a nice VTR hat in RED to match the wheels...

Re: new pics
this is the second bike without lower I like (together with 8541Hawk). Maybe front pipe itself looks better. Currently I consider original lower.mik_str wrote:no lower.... Re: new pics
Your bike is looking very good Micky, those USD front forks with the radial calipers definitely look the business for sure

and if you are wondering, no I have never had an issue with the filter running this way.
In the 12+ years I've run like this I have dented a couple of filters but never any real damage.

Oh and Micky....my hat is in the mail, so finally got something before you.......lol

Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.
