Right getting back to the socks, does a pair that have been darned (yes you young ones will have to look that up I expect ) go under the listing as "been modified"

i would say that's passing off old crap as good - same way filler is used to hide catalogues of woe on cars etc etc

Darning is a sewing technique for repairing holes or worn areas in fabric or knitting using needle and thread alone. It is often done by hand, but it is also possible to darn with a sewing machine.
