Agent P's Risers...

Post by gl_s_r »

Marty, find some pics of the risers you wanted.. please let me know if this is what you had in mind and I will send them. If not then I will alter what I can.

They should be adjustable both ways while pivoting on the centre bolt and then spin around your fork leg till you get them where you want them.. they have a 4" rise as requested. They come apart for easy installation on the fork legs and feel stable and certainly look a lot more stable than the others you had.

Hope your happy with them but it's always a bit funny making stuff for other people with no drawings and not being able to see what others have in mind. All parts are hard black anodised and are black despite looking grey/brownish in the pictures.

Not sure about that till I get a reply to be honest... it's only any good if it's what they wanted.

But thank you for the compliment..

They look just like the SV race parts bars I'v got on mine Mark, and I know they were what AP was looking at. The only difference being mine are 3" rise. If it helps you can either heve some photo's of mine, a looksee, or I will remove one and give it to the, very special needs, agent P to bring across to you.
Nice work again fella.

Kev,

I did see those types when I did a Google image search but did not know who made them... I admit to leaning a lot towards that design as it looked good and then I beefed up AgentP's with extra bolts here and there as he was complaining badly of his others moving.. and as his are for a larger fork diameter I could make them a bit more "substantial" shall we say.

Thanks for the offer of letting me look one over but I'm hoping these will be okay for him... well I live in hope.

Mine are on 954 usd forks and I haven't had any issues with them moving around, however they only have to deal with my sylph like figure, ahem!!!

This is where mine came from -

they look fantastic mark...........
just what i was looking for, i'll see how they fit and we can go from there. there might be a clearance issue (reservoirs) with the 4inch rise, but if needs be i'll trim the fairing. i can't thank you enough buddy, i know its rare for you to do private work because your so busy with work commitments. i do have one issue tho, i thought you were going to engrave a pineapple on each riser

As they mount below the yoke on the 954 forks can't you slide them down slightly if needs be?

but your spot on kev, i'll probably slide them down until they just clear the fairings, i might finally be able to fit my pro bolt pre load adjusters....
how much clearance have you got with the 3inch rise kev?

i might go along with the fairing triming tho, the higher the bars the more comfy it'll be. maybe i'll look out for the late model rectangle reservoirs, i think they're the same on the blackbird and cbr600f4.
that'll give me some more clearance....

Fantastic work and I like the three bolts with the middle one being the pivot point and the outer ones for adjustment and locking off. A bit like a see saw really. But do you think spring washers maybe required on the bolts. I also like the little touches like the cut out for weight reduction. Very smart indeed.
