c/f engine cover removal....help!

Post by agentpineapple »

can anyone suggest the best way to remove a carbon fibre engine cover, its been stuck on with a silicone sealant. i don't want to damage the cover as it will be re-used, anyone know if theres a liquid i could poor behind it to help breakdown the sealant?
i will be trying heat aswell, hair dryer or heat gun. the only other option i have is to drill the c/f cover to expose the gen cover holes.....a bit tricky tho :eek2
