Garage owned by one of my best friends' uncles. We always go there for any maintenance we can't do ourselves and it's never bit us in the butt. It's only when my bro/dad touch the bike that I almost die

Basically my situation right now. 16.3 miles, takes the bus 90 minutes! I can do it in 20 if the roads are clear and 30 if I'm stuck behind someone doing 40mph for half of it. How the bus can take so long I will never know, and it costs a fiver! Each way! A fiver covers my fuel for both journeys and my insurance for the day.. Give or take 50p  Having a look tomorrow cause of my lazy butt brother being useless.. Will update this thread depending on how it goes

They don't make black buses I think. I haven't seen any, at least. Just the blues

We've been adjusting the tensioner and it's made no difference to the sound. Still sounds crap, tried getting a soundclip I just need to learn how to access it on this phone and check the quality..

I'll take that as compliment  thank you very much young Virt

On the more sensible side, I actually did get a wasp inside my crash helmet many years ago, so I do know what they sound like :biggrin

Good luck with it all the same,

Chris.

Well that's not good news Virt. I shall wait for a sound clip before I take any more wild guesses. What's the mileage on the Hornet?

Sound quality is shocking, can barely hear the noise over the engine on my recording.

It's surprising what pests you come across in life, and that's just the two legged ones

Yeah, I forgot to update. Whoops! My bad.

Took it over to the mechanics on Saturday with my dad, he did a quick check and it's not cct's (although we both agreed it definitely sounded like them). The only thing he could suggest was shims. Although I had a full service 1k-ish miles ago so we're not sure if that's what it is. Either way, it's 'apparently' safe to ride provided I stay under the 6k rev area, and it's booked in for this Saturday.

Would've dropped the bike off there straight away but I need it for work this week, buses cost £20 extra a week and then I wouldn't have had a ride on the 'storm afterwards
