changes and additons

Post by gl_s_r »

After a few questions and some input from members I finally made these and fitted them to the bike. Please forgive the screws holding the paddock stand bits on as waiting for the stainless dome heads to come through the post but thought I'd add a picture of them to the post at this time.. and yes I know the wheel needs a clean!!

Image

Had to make some new bits to accommodate the new spacing as the original adjusters acted as 3mm spacers themselves.

So machined out the brake caliper and inserted a new spacer to make up the 3mm shortfall

and made a new spacer for the other side to replace the standard one

Seems to work a treat with the swingarm spindle.. so will be keeping these on the bike me thinks and give them a try long term.

Also while I had time I got the top yoke done and now have a fully finished set of yokes.. sure it will be not everyone's cup of tea but I like them and all the shiny bits are of course titanium apart from the top nut which I haven't made yet. Thought I'd beef the bottom up rather than go the fork brace route..

Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

Looking good and that bottom yolk is certainly beefed up as bit.

How much would it cost to have some yokes made ?, not the same as those, I need to get some done at some point for my Katana project, they need to be made specific to the bike as i'm fitting a front end that err doesn't fit, until I get yokes.

Mind you, it's nothing I couldn't knock up myself if I had half million pound CNC mill and an education--- Yeah, right!
