why have vtr's been kept secret from me !!

Post by dazlandy »

hi guys ..been riding a long time ..had lots of different bikes , at present riding a fazer 1000 and an mz baghira 660 single supamoto ....and until a month ago had a 93 gsxr 750 wp ....hated it !! ..cant fit on it ...it wants to kill me !! ...so i got rid of it , and was talking to a mate about a possible replacement ..he suggested the storm ..so i looked them up ....hmmm...v twin 1000 ..seems like fun ...anyway , found one ...asbo orange in colour with a few trick bits ..and low miles .......what an awsome bike !! ..done a few hundred miles on it ..and one track day ....what superb torque and pretty good handling too ...and although my laptimes were a bit higher than the fazer ..i get the feeling we are going to get on very well .....ive already had to replace the reg/rect unit ..and intend to carry out the cam chain tensioner mods very shortly ....

these bikes seem to have slipped under my radar as ive never really noticed them before ....for a little over 1200 quid ..ive landed a very nice condition stomper ...(colours growing on me slowly) ...i look foreward to badgering you guys for advice and info ........let the good times roll !! ....(my chums have named my vtr "clockwork orange" ...cheeky b#####ds ! )

cheers

Welcome to the site m8, I too am a newbie to storms and have to say loving everything about them. I've heard so many stories about the cct's so it's recommend you change to manuals as soon as poss.
Enjoy the site m8

The simplest way is to go into your user control panel/profile and then on the left choose Edit avatar and chose one from the display gallery. Otherwise you need to upload an image the right size and dimensions.

If you need the pictures resized upload a picture to imgur or something and post the link to the test area, I'll do it for you if you want. Takes about 5 minutes  And remember, there's nothing wrong with being tango'd!

That said, welcome to the forum
