Jamie from Colchester is dropping in at mine on the way down the A12 on the Friday, what time you looking at going as we could meet up with you and ride down to Aust to pick up the others?
Can anyone recommend any sensibly priced small tents and sleeping bags? None of our tents are a complete set and I'm missing a zip on the latter. No idea when this happened
Damn it double post.

With that in mind Virt, 'Go outdoors' have some good deals at the moment, my buddy went for the smallest tent they do (£20!) it's good quality and packs up smaller than a wash bag, but I can't fit into it!

My last tent I got from Aldi [3 man sized] before that I used a Halfords tent [that had an offer with 2 sleeping bags]. as long as you get one with reasonable waterproof spec [3000mm head or more] they will be fine. I also got a cracking 1 man tent from Argos that the adventure bike boys were raving about on the interweb.
so dont worry about buying from the non outdoors shops.
and go-outdoors claims to be having a sale now so you can nip over there

How tall are you then? I might as well get my own tent actually. I keep meaning to just vanish every now and then for a weekend riding and camping wherever the road takes me, even if only to escape Rugby and family So may as well look at getting one.
And thanks for the advice Al, I'll take a look around. I'm on course so it's not like I have work to do or anything.
Also, you're a Richard

that is a good plan, its a great way to escape the rat race. would suggest you get a 2 man tent as those one man tents, although nice and small when packing the kit needed for the trip, they dont leave much room for your riding kit when you set up camp
