stubby exhausts
has anyone tried cutting down race cans to make stubby`s and if so what did it sound like was it any louder than full lengh

Re: stubby exhausts
It's a matter of physics, nothing else... Shorter cans equals more noise, since the volume of the chamber is what dampens the frequencies of the sound... It really is that simple... So yes, it will get louder...

Re: stubby exhausts
I have 240mm "short" pipes on mine
Next door can tell ya how loud they are!
Also on a note
Storms don't really like stubby pipes to much

You may as well just take them off. You will have loud then.

Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.

Re: stubby exhausts
I stubbied my blue flame can on my last bandit fighter and it sounded a lot louder and much rougher
I can't really imaging what my storm would sound like, with the devils on just now it's awesome, fancy removing the baffles first but not keen as they are carbon

This is what I did to my last bike, stainless can so was easy to keep shape, removed the small centre cylinder and kept the large one if that makes sense
