Well my first thought was "crikey that's worse than Lloyds"

So what are your plans here. I thought you where just changing tensioners or doing valve clearances or something. Looks to me like you putting a whole new lump in.

regarding the rebuild of your old engine, if your thinking of using hi comp pistons, have a chat with tony mon, he'll be ordering some pistons in the near future, he might be able to put together a group buy.....

Tru dat, I'll be after some oversize ones and JE will only make them in sets of four, so I'll have to split some with someone else. However if there's enough people the price comes down for four or more pairs.

I was thinking about building two engines, one for mine and a customer one....Both high comp, cams and some tuning, but mine with very modified heads and airbox and a custom exhaust.

Before you ask, more than a grand....

just a side note, i'd be interested in some pistons if tony mon is thinking of ordering some. .5 might be a possibility, whats the damage with going oversize? ideally I only want to get up to 105-110, and still be able to use standard unleaded. (will just the hi comp pistons mean I need to go to super unleaded?)

High comps, cans, jet kit and set up on a dyno with no other changes will get you towards 110. It's a noticeable increase, enough to let you run std gearing and it feels like 1 tooth down on the front sprocket or 2 teeth up on the rear.
So quicker, more grunt out of the corners and it'll run with most current bikes, certainly out of corners.
