nowadays the cost of petrol ... ee by gum lads...

1969/70 ... can remember a gallon of 4 star 97 octane ( leaded ) was 6s 4d that is 32 p nowadays
now 5 star leaded fuel the expensive stuff was 6s 6d... thats slightly more and comes in at 33 p..per
gallon ... 4.54 litres.. make an imperial gallon

those were the days //// hey but you should never look back I suppose... there was no unleaded
fuel then .. now tis well over £5 nearly £6 squid .. all the traffic moves quoted here
I agree with , I especially hate cars entering on fast roads mways etc from my left , traffic islands
and oil spills gravelly roads. take care everyone

I hate having to spend ages getting ready, I wish you could fall off and not get hurt. Going via bike means carrying spare set of clothes in a rucksack which is a pain.

As far as other things its car drivers not looking and nearly killing me :(

2. Horses on the road.

3. Inability to have more than 1 bike under 1 insurance policy (oh yeah, I'm likely to ride more than 1 bike at once! Duche bags).

4. Not being able to commute to work on my bike.

5. Rear tyre squaring off after munching a bit of straight road.

6. People who lie, i.e "I get my elbow down, while spinning up my rear tyre at 160mph in Tesco's car park every morning" save your breath, you might need it in a minute...

7. People that make lists about things they hate.

I tell ya fella, you are lucky you don't have to commute on a motorbike. I would love to be able to leave my bike in a garage for the winter.

1. Bad Road Conditions (Rain, rocks, patches, bumps)
2. The amount of fuel the Storm uses!
3. Cops ( or should that be, bikers that rode outside their ability, crashed, died and is now the reason the Cops patrol that section of road)
4. Sore hands
5. Bird Strikes
6. The isolation, not being able to have a drink or enjoy the heater (conversely, this is also what I like about biking)
7. Nodding or waving at other bikers .... I'm not your mate and didn't gear up to make friends. I might be a touch busy approaching a corner to be social :-)

Other road users don't concern me in the slightest..... I know what's out there before I leave... hence why I ride early morning or late afternoon on a generally deserted twisty section of road.

I do have one exception to that.... Push Bike riders that ride in a peloton the length of 3 cars and a full lane width!!!!
No Rego, No Insurance.... and straight on their mobile phone to the cops if they get a little fright and wee in their Lycra
3 out of 5 people are not the other 2.
