I can rip 1st gear wheelies all the time... but 2nd eludes me.
Please help... I want the Migual Duhamel stand-up 2nd's...
Are you bring it up on the cluth or just on the power, have you got standard sprockets?
how i do 2nd gear stand ups (working on 3rd)
Roll on, low revs around 1400 in 2nd, slow is good, stand up, butt slightly back, lean very slightly forwards and then quickly lean back whilst giving the throttle a quick blip (usally a 3rd of the throttles travel), this brings the front right up and then its just a case of practicing this and getting the balance point correct.
As your doing sitdown 1st gears i imagine you have a fair idea of how to sit the bike on the balance point, but with stand ups its best to learn around the 10-11 oclock, trying for 12 oclocks will see you off the back.
Really i should be telling you to cover the rear brake all the time in case you go too high, however i find this a right mission when standing up, and the storm has a nice load of torque which will quickly bring you back down by shutting the throttle!
O0o0o and as i remmber the superbike vid doesnt have any stand up techniques, just stoppies and wheelies!
