I confused....so did you polish it or anodise it.

Nice polished finish and I agree the coating is a pain to get through but worth it when you have a finish like that

you mean the frame itself. I didn't know it was anodised.

Me too, I thought the coating on the frame would have been a lacquer of some sort

It's a weird coating ! Not paint and not anodised or powder coat but it's tough to remove
