Help wanted-what 6 spoke wheel- USD 929 forks

Post by tony.mon »

I've been acquiring the parts to put a Blade 929 USD set of forks on the front of my bike, and have been hoping that I can use the six spoke wheel I currently have. But although it is possible to get bearings that will fit a 25mm spindle, rather than the Storm's 20mm one, the pitch circle diameter of Blade disc's mounting bolts is much larger than the Storm's one- approx 110mm as opposed to 76mm (not measured accurately).

I now have forks, upper and lower yokes, and spindle. A carbon vented mudguard is being bought as a Xmas present, so that is sorted, so all I now need to find is 3" rise clipons, and a wheel.
Clipons are easy, I'll just buy some new ones.

I can get three spoke wheels, but want a six spoke.
Anyone know which ones fit?
I've been watching a cbr600 one, and although the pcd is ok, I don't know about the width of the wheel between the disc mounting faces, side to side.

Does anyone have a wheel, preferably on a 929 or 954 front end, that they can measure?
I also need to find a cbr600 six-spoke to measure as well.

Any help welcomed.
Thanks, Tony

Thought the sp1 front wheel was the same as the 929/954 blade wheel tho not 100% and no data to back it up .

Thanks, Ckennedy, that would be good.

Lloydie, the SP1/2 do fit, but they're always expensive.
The CBR1000 wheel is also an option- again, expensive.
I've also seen some cbr400 and other smaller bike wheels that look like they will fit, but might not take the weight too well.

And it seems some CBR600's have the larger diameter mounting bolt circle, not sue exactly which ones yet but compiling a list.
You can tell visually, just look on the bay and enter cbr600 front wheel; you can see two distinct types.
Not sure if they're all 17" though....
