Bike keeps cutting out on idle. When moving it's fine, but if I stay on idle it struggles to keep going. Haven't heard anything go bang, it just cuts out
Any ideas? It was fine while it was warming up. It's only just started, so I'm sat at the roadside waiting for traffic to die down before I even think about turning it back on.
Thanks

Make sure idle is set to 1,200rpm.

How often has it cut out?
Mine used to cut out, so I turned up the idle with the idle screw (located on the right in the triangular section of frame)
All is fine with a 1200 - 1350rpm idle.

There was a thunderstorm here 15 minutes ago ging
And it's done it twice since I left work. Each time I stopped at a junction. Did it 3 times this morning. Other than that it hasn't happened. I know spark plugs and air filter need replacing, that's Sunday's job. Could it possibly be that?

You could pull the front spark plug cap off and try drying it out if you think water has made its way in there.
If it runs, just ride it to Ali's before you have a paranoia induced breakdown!!

It runs but traffic is currently very heavy and Leamington drivers hate me filtering. So it's rarely an option. I don't want to constantly have to start the engine as I don't want to drain the battery

Have you got Recovery provision?
As suggested check the front spark plug hasn't got filled with water past the rubber.

It won't help if they are in poor condition.

Don't let the bike idle then, or turn the idle up with the screw.

No water in the spark plug area. And no recovery either.

Just been on the phone to my dad for any ideas while the traffic died down. Tried starting it and there is a clicking/tapping under the tank...?

+1
If you're in doubt, try and get someone to recover you or find a friend with an AA or RAC (etc) card.
