So i've got a rough cad drawing made up of a yoke to make....



Now then, what would you make it from Keeping in mind i have to hope college have the materials in stock

Also if you can see anything that needs changing or design suggestions, please feel free to point them out as im still not 100% sure how im going to make it

How are you intending to make it? Manual milling? If so, you can say goodbye to those nice curves unless you're going to be grinding/filing them by hand! If manufacturing with CNC then you need to alter the joins between the various internal radii as they are not tangential to one another, so you won't physically be able to get a cutter in there. I would also consider getting rid of the sharp joins/corners altogether anyway as they are stress raisers.

Was going to try and manually mill it then grind/file down to get a decent finish with roughly the correct angles (all with help of course)

Billet aluminium will do fine.
