I am married to a lady from the Neterlands and travel to U.K , Ireland and Europe regularly.
This trip we spent 3 weeks in the U.K and headed down to Cornwall and then up to the Isle of Skye and over to Belfast then down to the ring of Kerry and then across to Wales, back up to London and then a flight over to Paris and picked up a new car and headed off on our merry way.
Countries visited included France, Spain, Italy Switzerland, Netherlands, Andora, Belgium, Lichtenstein, Hungary, Cech Republic, Greece including Santorini and many places in between.
I am hopeless when it comes to names but my wife is very good and speaks English, Dutch, French, Italian and German.
Comes in very handy when travelling.
I have done this sort of travel before but now find at my age that it takes longer to get over now and I always enjoy getting home.
I did some riding in Italy and Switzerland as well as at Spa in Belgium.
A great trip but doubt I will do one that long again
Ken, an amazing tour, very impressive Good on you and your wife for making the effort and doing it while you can
I'm sure it must have been very handy with your wife being able to speak all those different languages
Yes it is however when we are away and I want to have a private conversation with wifey all I have to do is speak Australian realy fast and most people can't understand us.!!
It makes for some fun at times.
I have been asked if I am Canadian, South African or Irish on more than one occasion which makes me laugh.
