VTR parts online?

Post by ip432kalle »

Hi. Being a new kid in the block I would ask for advise on where to buy VTR engine parts online; I need valves (intake & exhaust), stems, gasket sets (top). Best place means best price & delivery. I got some great info on CCT rebuilds already here!

Try David silvers. He has a load of bits for them. I think wezmoto lists a lot of parts too.

I'm guessing valves have gone crashing from CCT failure. If so you may want to consider finding a used complete cylinder head and transplanting on.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Hi all and thanks for the info; I'll check those. And yes, it was a crash thru front CCT failure. I am from Finland btw so the parts need to be shipped. :D

Hi. You mention stems, I guess you mean the valve guides, the tube that goes into the head and the valve slides through?

They mostly don't need to be replaced, unless they're cracked or damaged.
The seals do need to be replaced, though.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Tony, you're right, it is guides: I need to replace 2 of them due to cracks. :(
